What We’re Looking For in Our HR and Recruitment Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and ambitious HR and Recruitment Coordinator to work in tandem with our leadership team and heads of department. You will be closely aligned with the company’s culture, supporting our unique brand of friendly, technical excellence assisting with the hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff as the company grows and maintaining good relations with recruiters.

Our HR and Recruitment Coordinator will have at least 6 years’ experience in a similar role reporting directly to senior management. You will also have small business or start-up experience in a tech company and be comfortable performing a variety of duties, with tech savviness being a must. We work on London time and have employees based in Europe, APAC and North America. This is a remote position, and when offices reopen we invite you to spend a few days a month in-person at our London office: this is optional and we aim to be entirely flexible to your needs.

When offices reopen, you may be expected to work on client site for a few days a month.

Roles, Responsibilities and Requirements of Our HR and Recruitment Coordinator

  • Hiring and HR-related activities, including assisting with internal recruitment
  • Provide a best-in-class onboarding experience for new starters; act as a point of reference for employees during their first days in the company, and off-board departing employees
  • Community meet-up attendance; sourcing ground for candidates, including but not limited to Kubernetes London, Cloud Native Wales, Istio London, Threat Modelling London, and national or international events
  • Promoting and exhibiting team spirit and company culture
  • Ad hoc projects and project management as and when required
  • Assist existing employees including coaching or psychological support

Our HR and Recruitment Coordinator Will Have These Preferred or Specific Skills

  • Passion for being a focussed team player with a “can do” attitude and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational, planning, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Deep understanding of coaching techniques and psychology
  • Proactive problem solving ability with exceptional communication skills – excellent English language skills at a native or fluent level
  • Ability to produce and edit copy and job descriptions
  • Pride in technology use - early adoption of new technologies, excellent grasp of Google Workspace (GSuite) applications, MS Office Suite and other office productivity tools, and aptitude for learning new software and systems
  • Ability to act with total discretion and diplomacy and show sound judgement in responding to complex circumstances
  • Enthusiasm, consummate professionalism, and fastidious care for your work
